The "SEABASS" Steering and Propulsion Control Console concentrates the steering and propulsion control of a 209-1400 type submarine in a digitalized workstation made up of modules.
It is used to control the ship's course, depth and bubble by acting on its rudder and bow and/or stern hydrofoils. At the same time, it allows automatic action on contactors and breakers for connecting batteries and electric motors of the submarine's propulsion system.
Diesel engine monitoring System The PDM-SP09 "NEUTRON" Diesel Monitor Panel is the system in charge of the Control and Monitoring of Diesel Engines and Generators in Type 209 Submarines to allow the charging of the unit's battery banks.
It includes monitoring and control equipment for Diesel Engines and Generators, a gas discharge system, as well as for the supply of air through the induction mast in Snorkel Condition.
The IPMS "MINERVA" Integrated Platform Management System is intended to monitor the propulsion, power generation, fuel, steering, watertightness, fire and alarm systems on surface units.
Its human-machine interface allows easy system operation and graphical display of the status and alarms of the platform subsystems.
